The sculpture titled what remains is dedicated to those who resist. The temperature constantly on 73 f, the light as well, for three days now, in vain, the feet are trying to find ground to walk on, the artificial sky didn’t prove of any help. The work was presented at the Stone Expo in Las Vegas, in search of its existence in a wonderful new world, like that of A. Huxley. The form with 13 engravings, in a fetal position, borrowed from the Neolithic sculpture the lady of Karamurlar. In my eyes, this sculpture looks timeless and as if it comes from no place, like a good myth that preserves timelessness through its passage. The braid stands as an element of beauty, eroticism, oppression, resistance, but also offering. Our only heritage is memory; I kept the pieces from the braid.
