three days in mount eros
The in situ project three days in mount eros took place on the island of Hydra, at the highest point of the island, on Mount Eros.
The reason for the implementation of the project was an Erasmus program in which students from Greece, Italy and Portugal met for twelve days.
The idea of the project had already existed in my mind, however, many times it is the distance from my birthplace that helps me recall memories and images from it. Born and raised on the island of Kythnos, the tradition of building with stones is a family affair. The idea is a circle of stones, equal to the diameter of my hands opened like the Vitruvian man's .
The idea, however, was defined and changed when the goal was no longer the result of the project but the relationships between the members of the workshop. The whole process took the form of a ritual thanks to the members' trust, perseverance and simultaneous will to climb the mountain every day.
